So the Son of Earl and I went to the Thursday night show at the Roxy. This was there second of five. And this was the best show I have seen by them, They started the show like they did last week with Hello There, then Song 2 (Blur-- WOO HOO).
Mark McGrath came out for Kisses Rock & Roll All Nite. Billy Duffy (Cult) came out for Rock & Roll Star (from Oasis) sung by Billy Morrison , then went into the Cult's L'il Devil sung By McGrath and then 80's (Killing Joke). Tommy Lee snuck in on drums with nobody from the band noticeing it.
At this point they changed up there set list due to I think a no show, and got back under way with the new guest being Duff McKagan, Steve Jones and Paul Cook (Sex Pistols) and di Chinese Rocks and Bodies.
Then to the loud cheers Slash came out did a song I for got then 2 girls from McQueen singer Leah Duors and Drummer ( didn't get her name) and did It's So Easy.
Linkin Park's Chester came out and sang Good Times Bad Times ( this is where I got the camera's viedo a shot to see how it works) then went into Highway To Hell, then Paradise City.
To close the show everybody came out for the traditional I WANNA BE YOUR DOG (Iggy Pop).
Come on out next thursday and get real close to these superstar Rockers. enjoy the viedos and pictures
So Camp Freddy played a benifit on Friday with some other special guest , MAP
May 9th, Camp Freddy performed at the Fourth Annual MusiCares MAP FundSM Benefit Concert honoring Slash and Alice Cooper.
Straight from Mr. Morrison's blog:
"We played five songs - Surrender (with Robin Zander), Gonna Raise Hell (with Robin Zander and Wayne Kramer), I'm Eighteen (with Chester Bennington and Billy Duffy), Mama Kin (with Steven Tyler and Duff McKagan) and Whole Lotta Love (with Steven Tyler and Jerry Cantrell). Dave was unable to be at the show, so Slash stepped in and played lead with us on all the songs. Alice Cooper and Slash were honored with Awards and the whole night was fantastic. Thank you to Harold, Chris, Wynnie and all at MAP for making the evening such a huge success, and thank you for inviting us to be a part of it all."
in the past guys from Metalica have joined Camp Freddy, and with them in town for the Wennie Roast, there is a possibility that they might be there. Just saying
This show included Terri Nunn singing Metro and Christine (Siouxy & the Banshee's) also Highway to Hell,
Corey Taylor of Slip Knot sang Aint Talking bout Love and Them Bones and All Right Now.
Cypress Hill Sang his Rock SuperStar, and Cory Parks Did Bad Reputation, There were a bunch of other songs done too put those were some of the high lights
