I've always loved Mikael's voice. If you ever hear him speak at a concert or doing an interview, his accent is beautiful to listen to.

Opeth rules!!!!! I went on the Mellotronen cruise from stockholm to helsinki in march with Opeth, Katatonia, Comus and many other great prog and metal bands and had a blast. Heard Heir Apparents debut, ****ing crushed! even though the boat was almost making everyone sick at that point.......well and booze......gallons of it.

I took a Viking Line cruise from Stockholm to Helsinki once (all-you-can-drink Lapin Kulta ). The only thing that would have made it better was to have Opeth and Katatonia there...

Is the performance of Heir Apparent that I posted above the one you were at?

Yeah man, those cruises are soooo much fun. There was a special deal when the tickets first went on sale, anyone who booked within the first 3 days of sale got free booze for both nights....i had no money but i found some way to scrap some up and damn it was worth it. I made sure to stay sober enough for Opeth and Katatonia especially, then after that it was all a haze.....although I remember some friends and I doing shots with Steven Wilson (random)
....and yeah thats the melloboat performance i was at, it was also great to see Mikeal perform "Murder" with Katatonia......then proceeded to puke right afterwards sidestage heh. I still get excited when thinking of that cruise, really memorable.

Big Katatonia fan too, my band got to open for them in corona and i got to talk a bit with jonas after.
