Tickets went on sale a couple hours ago.
Just a heads up!
Did you get that new remastered anniversary edition of it?
No I don't have it, is it worth picking up? I'm somewhat of an audiophile and I've noticed many, but not all, "remastered" albums are actually just the same mix just louder. With quality headphones does it sound noticeably better?
EDIT - Oh wow! The **** Buttons are opening for them too? I'm already there.
i can't go!!!!! why'd they have to have it on the 9th??? i swear to bob if they play anything from The Fountain......
I absolutely adore that soundtrack, but they'd need the Kronos Quartet (or I guess any ol string quartet) playing with them to do it right. Plus, since it's really Clint Mansell's music, I don't think you have to worry about missing any Fountain ST material this time
I know this'll never happen, but I'd do anything to see a performance of that soundtrack in it's entirety with Mogwai and the Kronos Quartet in a chamber setting (like Disney Hall and such).

Yeah, what he said. They wouldn't do it without you in the audience anyway, BoobyTrap. I wouldn't let them.

Wasn't it last year that the Kronos quartet was at the OC Performing Arts center and they did stuff from "The Fountain"? Of course sans Mogwai, but I'd still be sitting there bawling my eyes out because it was so awesome (had I had known previously and gone).
I just found out that Mogwai is going to be touring in Berlin while I'm here so I can FINALLY see them live (after missing them 3 times)! The opening line up for the European leg is different, and while I really would have liked to see the **** Buttons, I've heard good things about The Twilight Sad and Kid 606 (especially the later). I'm downloading some of their music to see what I'll be getting myself into.
Oh yeah, Adgy, I was interning at a place this past summer that gets any/every advanced CD from different record labels, one of which happened to be Hawk Is Howling, so I ripped and listened to it and it was pretty darn good. Sadly, my hard drive melted shortly after that and I hadn't backed up my files in a few weeks so I lost it (otherwise you would have received a PM by now), so I only got to listen to it once and I don't really remember any of the songs specifically, but if my memory serves me right you wont be disappointed.

That's awesome news. I have a Kid606 disc that I like, but I'm not too familiar with much of his work.

No worries, bro. I've seen it online in a few places, but I didn't want to hear any of it before I saw them live, so I've avoided it.
**** Buttons were pretty awesome, too. I forgot to grab their album when I was at Rhino last night.
