This is beyond outrageous. All this will do is cost the recording industry money in future lost revenue.
By forcing a legitimate music business enterprise into closing down it will open the doors to pirate sites doing the same thing paying no royalties whatsoever to anybody.
The royalty rates should be the same for all broadcast medium be it radio, TV, cable, satellite, internet, whatever.
This legislation is unfairly singling out internet broadcasting. It should be declared unlawful and legal action should be taken against the recording industry for targeting one specific area for price gouging while leaving others alone.
