IT was.... awesome. Really good movie in general, not just for a comic book movie. I'd recommend it to all action fans.
PS: Don't leave after the credits - big spoiler for future of the franchise. Comic book fans will geek out for sure.

Agree, was a good movie all around, not just a good comic book movie. I left before the end of the credits but heard about it afterwards in the lobbey. Bummed I missed that part.
I thought it was ok. Not great. There were some really cheesy moments and the battle at the end kept me from getting too excited. Overall though, pretty entertaining I guess.

It was pretty damn good. Nothing too spectacular action-wise, but Jr does a great job playing the character. He's my favorite alter-ego from any super-hero movie so far. Very well done.
And now i'm really pissed that i didn't stay until the end of the credits. We were there with a pretty big group, and once the girls stood up and started staring impatiently at their respective boyfriends, we pretty much all had to get up and leave. Now i'll have to see it again this weekend....
Just noticed that it's playing in the "Dome" at the Arclight in Hollywood....which is an excellent place to enjoy a movie. Also, because you purchase your specific seats online, you can show up 5 minutes before the trailers start and not have to worry about waiting in a long-ass line to get in, or having to sit in the very front row!
JON FAVREAU IS PRETTY HAPPY YOU SAW IRON MAN
I just got off the phone with my brother, who saw Iron Man tonight in Century City (which is a part of LA. Everything here is Something City). On the way out of the theater he ran into Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr, who were shaking hands and thanking people for coming out to the movie. My brother chatted with Favreau about the old RKO Keith theater in Queens, where we used to see movies and where Favreau ushered.
It's not unusual for movie people to spy on opening weekend crowds, but how cool is it that these two shook all those hands? Makes you feel a touch less cynical about this business.
Ok...officially John Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. rock. I really hope that Downey keeps it together...success is a helluva drug
b.t.w if you haven't seen KissKissBangBang...hell, just watch it. Not only is Downey awesome but Val Kilmer owns too.

I had heard that they were planning an Avengers movie starring Robert Downey Jr., Edward Norton, Samuel Jackson and more.... that was freaking great after the credits.
