If you are looking for bands that feature bagpipes you might want to check out Bad Haggis. The band features Eric Rigler who is the bagpiper for hollywood. He's played on pretty much every film soundtrack that features bagpipes like Braveheart and Titanic. The music itself is ok, a bit poppy at times, but Rigler definitely has chops. They have a song called Sleepy Maggie which is basically a cover of the Cure's "Hot Hot Hot" with bagpipes. Worth looking into. Of course there is always Dropkick Murphys, but if you are looking for strictly bagpipes look up Rigler.
Or if you're looking for straight pipe-and-drum corps stuff, get what PuckMonkey said. I can confirm the goodness of them.
Story time...
One of the coolest things I've ever seen in years of running around airports was at Terminal A in Denver about six years back. This guy was in front of me on the escalator from the people-mover train. He had a big backpack on, and I wondered what the hell could have been in it. Turns out it was a bagpipe. I found out only when he pulled the thing out in the middle of the terminal (a BIG space to fill and with good acoustics, believe it or not) and started playing. Scottland The Brave into America The Beautiful (yeah...not your usual pipe music, but awesome nonetheless) into Amazing Grace. The guy had people gathered round him in a wide circle by the time he was done.
The pipes...ahh...can't help but shed a tear when I hear them played.
