BTW, why on earth would we trust OUR government to do healthcare? They've done a hell of a job with everything else. What's the opposite of The Midas Touch?

If the problem is that your worried about paying for other peoples care. Believe me you pay for it anyways. I don't know that Universal care is THE answer, but it is AN answer. Another answer is STOP EATING SO GOD DAMNED MUCH YOU FAT SACKS OF ****! Your diabetes, obese, lazy asses are putting an incredible demand on the health care system and it is something that is easily fixable if you wankers would stop eating twinkies and fast food and maybe throw some broccoli onto your plate once in a while. Where are my donuts?
Are the nubers being thrown around the billable number from the Drs or the actual numbers paid by the insurance companies, there are HUGE differences in those figure.
IS it the "fat lazy people" costing all the money or the uninsured and/or illegal aliens taxing the system ?
If its the fat lazy people why doesn't insurance cover weight Loss surgeries? It seems it would cost far less in the long run, why cover cancer patients? their gonna die anyway same with heart transplants and a plethora of other terminal conditions.
Is there really an answer to any of these questions? who is capable of "taking care" of this situation, not the gov't certainly not the insurance companies, so who?
Where do all the blood sucking lawyers and medical malpractice issues fit into the equation?
Isn't there a legitmate way to keep doctors and their prices honest??? Everybody knows that the Health Insurance and the Pharmacuetical companies have the entire health industry in their pockets. **** them and the government who goes to bed with them.
And gescom, I'm sure if healthcare in this country wasn't as ****ed up as it is you would have found a great doctor to help you out for reasonable compensation. Besides, I would assume people become doctors to help people, not to be controlled by red tape and the dollar.

I had some experience with government run health care while going to school in London. All I can say is that if we get universal health care here, I sure hope it's better than what they have in the UK.
