Default Props to President Bush for Action/Reaction to Gustav

For all the heat taken over Katrina, you have to give credit to the federal government from the Bush Administration/FEMA to Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal (see what the National Guard can do when you let them do their job Kathleen Blanco?) even to that numbnuts Ray Nagin.

If you gave the Bush Administration grief over Katrina, you have to give them props for the lack of casualties due to Gustav.

Grats to the Bush administration and the federal government at large for..
doing their f***ing job and protecting the people of our country.

Seriously, glad things are going better than Katrina... but... when did doing our jobs become cause for celebration?

Props to 'W' for doing what he's supposed to do, but if a 8.0 quake hits LA tonight, we won't see sh** from the federal gov't for at least a week. He can't do two things at once.

McCain didn't mind not having Bush speak at the convention, that's for sure.

Lack of casualties MIGHT have something to do with Nagin ordering an evacuation.

Followed by 2 million leaving the city. Just sayin'.

Watching the water splash over the levy today I was wondering if they were going to hold. Nice job by the Army Corps of Engineers (crosses fingers).

Mayor Nagin orders mandatory evacuation of New Orleans
So by that logic, the Katrina disaster was completely Nagin's fault. W thanks you for the absolution.

Just sayin'.

No. That does not follow.

Neither did much to take preventative measures the first time around. The Federal government was lousy at providing necessary aid after the fact. This is common knowledge. No absolution, sorry.

This time around, Nagin took preventative measure by evacuating the city. Credit goes to him (and the people of New Orleans/Louisiana), not Bush. That's the logic.

What exactly did Bush do this time around to save all these lives like you mentioned? Actually curious. Links would help. Thanks.

Love it how right wingers get all wet over the federal government doing its job when they want to win an election so they can cripple it some more. Total hypocrisy.

I agree that they're the more appropriate group to give credit to.

I won't give credit to any level of gov't for this,,why would I? How about giving "credit" to all the morons who stuck around last time, and apparently learned something this time. If you need the gov't to tell you to leave, by all means stay, and do some swimming while you are at it.

Gustav was a Category 2 when it hit land. Katrina was a Category 3.
