First, the constitutional reform elections in Venezuela go off without any shenanigans from the supposedly dictatorial Hugo Chavez (who loses and admits it) while the two dodgy elections of Bush have been followed by his administration's persistent attempts to ignore or subvert our Constitution. Now Peru puts on trial and convicts its former president, Fujimori, because he violated their constitution while he was in office. Here Bush remains in office and apparently will not be punished for any of his grotesque abuses of power.
It's embarrassing when South American nations are doing a more honest job of running their governments than the US is.

Well, I don't remember riots in the streets after either election. . .but ok. Secondly, there were like over 100 investigations over the 2000 election. . .and not a single case came from it that I can recall. That's not to say there wasn't any questionable things, but most came from negligence and poor preparation rather than sinister planning.

Well, the key word there is former. That's not to suggest that anyone in Congress will have the balls to do something like that, but at least give it till he leaves office? Also, I'll be anxious to see what the excuse is when the Democrats control everything and the status quo remains. It's always something. First it was, "The Republicans control everything". Then it was, "We don't have enough control". Just curious to see is all.
