Hey - I give FOX News credit. They've realized that if this woman becomes a star of the Republican Party, they're in big trouble. So she's going to be scapegoated and embarassed in hopes that she'll just go away.
Seriously, how on earth is this woman going to re-surface and explain how she didn't know that Africa was a country while she was running for the office of Vice President?
I certainly hope the Republicans have more up their sleeve in the aftermath of this defeat than to say "It's Palin's fault, she's an idiot" and go about business as usual. There was no problem parading her around as the Republican answer to Hillary right up to election day, but NOW they're going to villify her. Horse****...this party's a ****ing mess.
She had some other lulu's in her stump speeches. Not that the people who listened to her always saw they were lulus or, if they knew, would they gave a darn.
I suggest Palin should thank God each day the Canadian radio guys who pranked her told her their call was a prank. While I think she is totally unsuited for the job to which she aspired for a variety of reasons, including lack of good judgment, lack of competence and the common politician flaw that her narcisism causes a basic lack of important integrity, I felt a bit sorry for her when they did. Incompetent but sincere--something dangerous in the person leading the country.
How Palin could not pick up it was a crank call speaks volumes about her.
If they had not told her she was pranked at the end of the call but just thanked her and hung up, she'd have been out campaigning claiming Mc|Pal had an endorsement from the prime minister of france.
Anyone with any doubt, find the call on the internet and listen to the call. (took me a bit of work to find it and I did not save the link).
Today, Yahoo has an article in which many republicans call for her to lead the Republican party.
I believe George W Bush has endorsed this idea, hoping to remove himself from his current place in history.
Back in the late 1980's I wanted to work for the republican party and went to republican events but had to drop out because Palin types were the rule and I did not want to be the exception.
I say hoarse **** about the not knowing Africa was a Continent. They are looking for the easy way out and pointing fingers is keeps the pointing away from them (republican party in general). The race would have been much closer with a legitimate VP candidate and the GOP knows this. It was their choice to add Palin onto the Ticket. Palin is fine for Alaska and the 5,000 people that live up there. 3 months out of the year the sun doesn't even rise on Alaska.
