Look at his voting record. It's there for all to see. Of course, you'll ignore it for the empty speeches he's given since he realized he couldn't win the election if the nation sees him for who he is.

If you're familiar with his voting record, then you understand that he supports income redistribution and high taxation, two fundamental aspects of socialism. This can be ascertained by the 50% of the issues on which he felt obligated to vote.

You mean the redistribution of wealth that has been taken from the middle class for the last 30 years? You mean tax policies that reward wealth and not work? You are calling his view "socialism", but I've seen a lot a facist like policies come out the last eight years, including tax breaks for the wealthy that McCain eventually supported. Obama is not as far to the left as McCain or Palin are to the right, that's for sure.

Progressive taxation is no evidence of socialism. It is present in every major capitalist economy in the world. Was the United States socialist during the Cold War in 1954 when income taxes were more progressive than they are now? The nineties when capital gains taxes were higher? Is Social Security a foundation of capitalism because it is a regressive tax? Are all Democrats and most Republicans socialist because they all believe in progressive taxation? Is Obama a socialist because he wants to roll-back the Bush tax cuts?
