OK, here we go....

Obama was a member of Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years, calling him his spiritual advisor and mentor, etc., but alleges that he never heard the hate speech that was pouring from the pulpit, handed out in pamphlets at the door, and sold on video via the church's website.

Are we expected to believe that after 20 years of loyal membership, that he doesn't agree with, or at the very least condone, the America Hating opinions of that church?

Does his wife's statement, "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country" not lend credence to the possibility that he agrees with Jeremiah Wright's hatred of America?

I wonder how he will cover up on the Rezco issue. Will he send out a press release cutting all ties to him. What most people hate about this time of election cycle is the hate ads from both sides. I generally like them while I say it is horrible. They are like a train wreck.

Barack Obama in 2003, talking to the AFL/CIO:

“I happen to be a proponent of single-payer universal healthcare coverage. That’s what I’d like to see.”

In January, 2008, Obama claimed in a nationally televised debate:

"I never said that we should try to go ahead and get single-payer."

I like what your doing and everything you're saying is "out there" somewhere, but how about some internet sources too so that someone else doesn't just chime in with totally made up crapola?

ahem.......

On July 28th, the day after his speech at the Democratic convention catapulted him into the national spotlight, Barack Obama told a group of reporters in Boston that the United States had an "absolute obligation" to remain in Iraq long enough to make it a success.

"The failure of the Iraqi state would be a disaster," he said at a lunch sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor, according to an audiotape of the session. "It would dishonor the 900-plus men and women who have already died. . . . It would be a betrayal of the promise that we made to the Iraqi people, and it would be hugely destabilizing from a national security perspective."

In late winter, 2008, on the campaign trail, Obama says he wants to bring the troops home yesterday -- you decide -- was he lying then or is he lying now?

Judging by the polls, tens of millions of Americans have changed their stance on the Iraq war. I'm not sure I'd call either of them a lie, but the question should definately be asked of him as to why he changed his stance. I have a feeling that many people who have done the same thing already know the answer, however.

Thanks for the article Joe, but I think BAD should do his own homework.

I'm not trying to debate the actual content of the article posted here, only the standard for making a claim about lying.

It seems to me that BAD and the rest of us should only post this stuff about Obama's (or McCain's) position(s) on Iraq in the Lying Sack Megathreads if what he (we) post is a good faith attempt at the documentation of a lie.

So BAD...find us an article where it says "Obama says he wants to bring the troops home yesterday" and you'll have struck gold.

Unsurprising that K17 doesn't get the "lying sack" concept. Which of these Obama positions do you even disagree with? (I disareed with his FISA vote, but as the article points out, maybe liberals who were freaked by the vote didn't understand that Obama is MODERATE AND A COMPROMISER as I have regularly pointed out).

Surprisingly, I am not playing by your rules, and no I didn't bother to read them.

Is Obama a liar or not. Yes he is.

I was thinking about starting megathreads called "Obama is honest" and "McCain is honest" but then realized they're politicians and the only thing that would be in the thread would be the original post.
