You've got the guy from Humboldt wondering....... what's this guy smoking. And I thought I was high. Gas prices, food prices and precious metal prices will continue to spike. Prepare for the Greatest Depression. The United States is on the fast track to becoming a third world country and the sooner we all wake up the better prepared we will be when the fit hits the shan.

Always good to see more conspiracy theory nonsense being spouted around these parts. Wait, no it's not. Your guys' opinions are even less substantiated by the evidence than the right-wingers'.

You honestly think that when push comes to shove the country with the most advanced military in the world is just going to slink away and become a 2nd rate power?
Not likely.

If you drive a lot locally, it makes sense right now to get a vehicle that runs on CNG (Compressed Natural Gas). There aren't a whole lot of fueling stations, but there are enough to get by, AND you can buy a home refueling kit that runs on your home gas line, which saves you even more money in the long run.
Of course, it's a lot of up front money needed, and you probably will want to keep a gasoline vehicle for long trips, as CNG based small cars typically only get about 220-250 miles to the tank.
Something to think about. Honestly, I believe this will become a much more attractive option as gas prices continue to go up.

What part of this post is conspiracy theory nonsense OMR? Why such hate for free thinkers. It is my opinion that the United States middle class is vanishing. In third world countries the money distribution leans toward a few rich people and away from the majority of its citizens. Just because i left a link which condemned a talk show host for wanting to line up Americans and shoot them does not make me a conspiracy theorist, it makes me an informed individual who is tired of seeing so called journalists/ talk show hosts like Michael Regan and Don Imus spout hate and racism and not be held accountable. Don't pretend to know me or what I think. Get over it.

I will admit, a third world country is a bit of a stretch however, I do believe that our super advanced military doesn't assure us economic stability though. Just look at how well our army is fairing in the Middle East. We are paying for a war that is bankrupting ever day families. Any one who doesn't see a direct correlation between the state of America and this endless war is nucking futs.

the military is making huge headway right now in iraq. not so much in afghanistan (or at least it appears that way).
the war still sucks ass.
and regardless of the war or not, our economy is in for a rough ride. that's like saying 9/11 caused the recession in 2001. We were already well on our way in 2000.

As an above poster said... Talk to Britain, and I might add... France, the Dutch, Rome, Egypt...
Just because our military is the most advanced doesn't mean we can't be made impotent by more powerful forces... IE economics/sheer number of adversaries(military/cultural/political)/access to natural rescources/overextension of said technologically kick ass military.

Nice speech. Did you just dig up the time capsule you buried in '79 or what? Don't be so naive. Or go build a bunker and sob in it. Either way we will be free of your hysterical posts.

Job, go read a book called conquer the crash by robert prechter.
now, I'm not big into the elliot wave thing, his thoughts and the charts he uses are pretty amazing as far as huge similarities leading up to the 29 crash and where we are right now in the still fairly early stages of a massive credit crunch in this country.

what part of my post is naive/hysterical? Do you think things are going great with the housing market, economy, family farms being taken over by Agrobiz? And you say I should be in a bunker when your already living in a little cynical bubble? It never ceases to amaze me how little people care about the state of America, their neighbors, education and salmonella in their GMO grown tomatoes. Do you honestly think prices are going to drop by the end of summer as previously stated by another poster? I'm not crying, i'm stating my opinion and if you feel the need to bash it so be it.
- You know you do have the option of not reading my post, right?
