Default McCain Would Rather Lose His Integrity Than Lose An Election

When the AP, which it has favored McCain consistently so far, writes a report like this for distribution to hundreds of small market newspapers in the country, then you know the blantant, repeated and uncorrected lies in his ads and the one speech Palin delivers have become too obvious and embarrassing to ignore.

I wonder if McCain ran exactly as he presented himself in the past, would he have a chance at winning...and what would the religious right do if they didn't have a candidate to support?

Don't worry, the country won't go to the wolves. Sarah Palin will save us by hunting them to extinction from airplanes.

Duece, I'm not really sick of right wing guys like you not knowing what is going on with things like the AP being in bed with McCain, I just expect it.

Here's an article that lays out the evidence and cites articles by Ron Fournier. He's the Washington Bureau Chief for AP and is in charge of the campaign coverage for AP. He was recruited to work for the McCain campaign before he took the AP job. His bias is obvious to anyone who has read the AP stuff and it is the subject of much comment. I know you hate stuff like facts and evidence, but just in case you've undergone some sort of conversion experience and have suddenly gotten interested in reality...

The Washington Monthly

I hate to keep beating guys like you, salami and K17 like rented mules, but it's just too much fun and I can't, in good conscience, leave all the heavy lifting to the other sane people on the board.

If McCain presented himself like the candidate of 2000, I would give him a serious look. As it stands... I can't do that after he chose Palin as a running mate.

When the printed press seems "right wing" to you, how can you not realize that you're an extreme leftist?

Sounds like McCain's 4% advantage over Obama is starting to worry you.

It worries me, I can tell you that. Not so much that Obama could lose this election, but four more years of the last eight years for this country is going to be a bitter pill for EVERYONE to swallow.

BAD, how nice to hear from you. However, I'm not sure why I ever respond to your stuff since you don't read what I say.

What I have said on the politics forum repeatedly and without exception is that McCain wiil defeat Obama in the November election. I am not "worried" that this will happen, I am, instead, as near to certain about this as I can be. The only qaulification on this I think I have ever made is to say that if Obama has a 5 to 7 percent lead over McCain in the swing states he must win going into election day, Obama has some chance. The likelihood of that is near zero.

The fact that I argue for Obama and against McCain has to do with my equal conviction that Obama would be a much better president. Now, of course, with the addition of Palin to the ticket the election of McSame presents a serious threat to the country because McFossil might well die and leave her in charge. But that's who and what we are. When we make bad choices we get what we deserve...though it is a shame that the good, the decent and the innocent have to suffer with the bad and the stupid for what the worst of Americans do.

But I'm not "worried" about a Republican win, I just expect it. It is what it is. The product of blowhard nationalists, greedy fools, undereducated hicks, and white racists still controlling enough states by the few thousand votes necessay to win the electoral college.

Oh, and some practical advice on reading poll numbers. Don't pay much attention to the national tracking polls. Look at the polls of individual states. Go to a good poll analysis site like fivethirtyeight.com and learn how to interpret it if you want a good forecast of what's going on with the electoral college.

For real, it makes everything else he says tainted. Not even the Dems on this board can defend him on this one.

Actually, if you follow the news, you know that Ron Fournier was considering a "senior advisory position" with the McCain campaign as recently as last year. He declined it, returned to the AP and became, I believe, the Washington Bureau chief of the AP. He's been knocked for writing articles that often parrot press releases of the RNC, and he's been pretty clearly in the tank for McCain for several months now.

But please, by all means, continue with your quarter-century old talking points which are totally divorced from the facts.

You mean facts that are substantiated by extreme liberal rags like Leo likes to cite?

Doesn't the credibility of the source concern you at all?
