Kristol: Bush Might Bomb Iran If He 'Thinks Obama's Going To Win'
The first idiocy would cause a firestorm of condemnation if an Obama campaign official said it.
The Kristol remark about Bush attacking Iran if it looks like Obama might win is a straight-from-the-horse's-mouth warning by a key designer of the Project for A New American Century and it's Iraq War plans. The chance that Bush or Israel will attack Iran to provoke a pre-election day dust up to benefit McCain's vote totals just rose past 50% IMO. Another rigged election and another illegal war from Bush as he's on the way out.

Classic Washington scandal - guy gets criticised for telling the truth.
Yeah its crass but if we get hit again before the election voters are going to think more about safety than the economy, Bush scandals, Iraq War etc. He wasn't saying he HOPES we get attacked, just that if it did then McCain would have the advantage.
Obama is an interesting guy - very image-conscious. He refused to be photographed with Gavin Newsom, presumably because of his support of gay marriage and he has told one of his congressional supporters not to campaign for him because the congressman is a muslim. He also refers to the effort to paint him as a "Smear" on his website. I would think "lie" would be more appropriate. What is wrong with being a muslim?

McCain Adviser: Another Attack on U.S. Would Be "Big Advantage" For McCain - Politics on The Huffington Post
Whats the difference between this and the Democrat advisor who admitted good new in Iraq is Bad news for Democrats?
Its the same equation.
Because it did not come from the Huffington Post.

First, it wasn't McCain who said this. It's bad enough that we analyze every utterance of these two men (Obama and McCain) for every possible meaning, but now we have to dig through every idiotic statement their people make? I have much better things to do then read everything every person involved with either campaign ever says. I will stick to watching what the candidates have to say. It proves to be very informative when one keeps their eye on one thing at a time, rather then being mesmerized by the swirling flashing lights that are ****DECISION 2008**** or whatever horse **** they are calling it this year.
Second, Bush will not attack Iran. He will talk about it, but if we go into Iran before the election it will end any possiblity McCain has of getting elected. McCain would then have to either endorse of distance himself from this plan. Most of the electorate wants nothing to do with this, so it will be a loser.
I fear that if Obama wins he will be in danger since there is no provision anywhere for what happens if the President elect is killed. It would force a constitutional crisis (as far as I understand it...please correct me if I am wrong here) and the High Court would have to make a decision about what to do. Of course, it will be foreign terrorists that do it, so we'll attack Iran at this point. Not before.
A little tin-foil-hatty I know, but it's possible.
I truly hope I'm wrong.
