God has a plan for us all brothers and sisters! I wonder if Hagee will announce what God's plan for a McCain led US foreign policy is?

Christians for Zionism has got to be the most idiotic, phoney hypocritical movement I've ever heard of. Let's support Israel to hasten the return of Jesus then when he returns the many Jews that haven't accepted Christ get to "burn" with the rest of the unbelievers. Niiiiice.

Religion is for weak people who can't decide for themselves what is right and what is wrong.
In defense of a lot of religous folks, much of what they decide was done at an age where the person doesn't have the ability to know any better. The downsides of religion (The Devil, etc.) have a MUCH greater impact on the minds of young people, so it's that much more effective.
Notice that McCain tries to preserve his ability to bring up Rev Wright to attack Obama even as he and Hagee co-ordinate the announcement that McCain is rejecting Hagee's endorsement (which McCain courted for a year). My guess is that this kills the Republican's plans to use Wright against Obama in the Fall except as part of a "whisper" or "push poll" tactic.
Obviously this Hagee guy has some very disturbing views, but for you Obamatarians, I don’t think it trumps the Rev. Wright controversy. Other than Wright and Hagee both being controversial ministers who say stupid things and are supporting a presidential candidate, I don't see the how this is in any way the same thing. Wright was Obama's spiritual leader for 20 years and Obama was a member of his church. Wasn't the title of Obama's book "Audacity of Hope" even borrowed from a Wright sermon? McCain does not go to Hagee's church nor is he McCain’s spiritual leader. It’s hard to see how you could argue that Hagee’s views would have the same weight with McCain that Wright’s views would have with Obama. McCain went after the Hagee endorsement to win over conservative Christian evangelicals. He should have taken a closer look at Hagee and made a better choice. He correctly rejected the endorsement when the Huffington Post and liberal groups brought comments to light.
To me this dust up just looks like the left trying to find a way to diffuse the Wright situation and nothing more.

I don't completely agree. Although, Rev. Wright has some controversial views (as does Hagee) at least Wright's are grounded in some reality. Hagee seems to live in a world of make believe.
Nonethless, when judging Obama or McCain as to whether they can be a good President I ignore this kind of non-sense anyway. I don't believe either candidate believes the crap either Rev. spouts off. To me, it's just a "political" issue that pundits at Fox or CNN can waste broadcast time justifying their existence.
It will be a wonderful day in this country's history when an avowed agnostic or an atheist can once again have a realistic shot at becoming the President.

Not to worry. Like a John Lennon fantasy there will soon be no religion. We will all just be Obamians.
