McCain's Mr. Straight Talk Maverick routine is wearing thin.
McCain is a 'Maverick' in the original sense of the term. He's like an steer that leaves the herd and then eats loco weed, charges at hallucinations, and then crashes through the barbed wire into a dry wash where it flip-flops around injured until the cowboy shows up to shoot it between the eyes.

Not to mention, the first couple of guys who McCain wanted to organize the convention had to be let go because they represented the Burmese Junta which has recently been in the news along with Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos. And Cindy McCain just last week or so divested from Sudan. It goes on and on.

A lobbyist giving favors to a politician? Unheard of. This McCain must obviously be an outright crook. I bet the people running against him must be delighted to hear this news being as they are both clean as a whistle.

If you say you never done a favor for a lobbyist, then it's news when agents for foreign dictatorships and representatives of the industry the Senate committee you chair is supposed to be watch-dogging turn up as virtually the only people in top position in your campaign. Expect more consistency from you Hipcheck.
I expect more common sense from you. The fact that a poliitician works with a lobbyist is somehow startling news to you I find comical. I personally cant understand why anyone with any amount of intelligence and perspective would support either of the major 2 parties.

Not the least bit startled about McCain. Just amazed that he would make his claims so easy to refute by employing basically no one who isn't a lobbyist.

Politicians make claims all the time that are easily refuted...it all decides on which politician the media chooses to scruntinize. Obamas been making a lot of claims as well but his gaffes dont seem to get the scrutiny of other politicians do as the media generally wants Obama to be the savior and not going to be fact checked.
And just to nip it in the bud-Im not voting for any of the candidates so Im not proMcCain or Anti Obama or vicecersa. They all disgust me.
