The McCain/Palin ticket has been campaigning on the idea of reform. We all know the idea of McCain reforming Washington is a crock when
nearly all of his closest advisors and campaign staff are lobbyists for interests which aren't too popular at the moment.
Palin is supposedly a reforming fiscal conservative, which has been proven
time and
again to be completely false. Palin has indulged in cronyism, personal vendetta, and has flaunted her ability to receive federal earmarks in every public office she's held. The campaign has pointed out that Palin put Alaska's checkbook online and would do the same in Washington as proof of her reformer cred.
But Obama already did that in Washington.
Take the "Troopergate" scandal as a case in point. Can anyone tell me how a McCain/Palin administration would be more transparent than the current administration when the McCain/Palin campaign
uses the same stonewalling tactics in the Troopergate investigation as Bush/Cheney have used in nearly every major scandal involving the Justice Department, Interior Department and every other department?
There would be no accountability in a McCain/Palin administration. I can't wait for them to win.
