About This Page: This is a discussion on Politics within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Yeah, thats it babies. HuckaCain 08!!!
It would almost be funny to see Mitt Romney as the GOP nominee so Kingrick would have to vote for a guy who he believes, believes Jesus diddled the devil.
Sorry Rick, but a guy with Huckabee's crazy fundamentalism, McCain's dullard foreign policy, and Romney's political sliminess and corporate pandering has been in the White House for almost 8 years now and it turns out that he's not that popular.

I am still undecided...but Huckabee scares the crap out of me.

Well at least you're honest with your belief that concern for civil rights, populism, and political reform are poor qualities.
No, I do believe that his pandering to certan special interests that call themselves civil rights, populism, and "political reform" with no clear definition of what and how he will reform are poor qualities. (Especially when Edwards personal actions show him to speak out of both sides of his mouth on populism)

Acutally, I like Romney's Economic views but am turned off by his sliminess. I trust that McCain will be tough on the war, and has a record of change(unlike any of the other canidates on either side, except maybe Romney), though am turned off by most every other issue. I like the fact that Huckabee has a similar social idea, though it needs to be ratchetted down a few dozen points, as well as I don't like his Economic and foregn policy views.
I would have a economic Romney, a military McCain, with a Huckabee who has been seriously toned down.

Hmmm, a right-wing militarist who wants to make the rich richer while keeping a lid on his Christianity for the sake of politics.....
Just kidding, Ricky--good to have you back!
Actually the arguement can be made that Hitler started out as a populist and depending what historian you talk to, it could be said that he played up his "chistianity" for the sake of politics.
But I would wager you already knew that.
