A man suspected of robbing a bank in Anaheim and then leading police in a freeway chase has died after shooting himself in the head, police said, after a standoff with police this afternoon.

This way the cops don't get in trouble and we save money on a court case or putting him in jail. Win-win!

Wow....see what I miss on my 4 days off! This is our second pursuit of the week. Earlier on Mon night after doing a hand to hand, a female and her man take off from my buddy who is a K9 cop and lead him on a pretty good chase. They toss a gun out on the NB 57 ramp from the E/B 91. Ends up at Kramer and Imperial Highway where they bail out of the car. Unfortunately the female tried to out run the K9 and well, I guess you can figure out the rest.

Myself along with a bunch of other cops close down the 57 and 91 to search the freeways for the gun but did not find it. Kinda cool walking on empty freeways.

Anyways, I guess its APD 2 Badguys 0 this week.
