About This Page: This is a discussion on Politics within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Dont agree with a few bits and pieces but I love his honesty. We need more Ron Pauls and less Bush/Clintons IMO.

I think when you defend freedom, you
I think when you defend freedom, you defend freedom of choice. You can’t be picking and choosing how people use those freedoms. I don’t believe government can legislate virtue. I can reject (vice) personally and preach against it, whether it’s drugs or prostitution, but my solution comes from my personal behavior and how I raise my children. Whether it’s personal behavior or economic behavior, I want people to have freedom of choice.
People make bad choices in religion and philosophy, but we don’t regulate their thinking or their religious beliefs if they’re not harming other people. That’s why I defend this position that government can’t protect individuals from themselves. It’s just impossible. (And when it tries) it becomes a tyrannical state.

can someone tell him to cleam up all his signs hanging off the freeway overpasses all over LA, annoying as hell.
Its part of the grassroots effort to keep his name out there-since the msm isnt going to give him the time of day you have to resort to hanging bedsheets on freeway overpasses.

Paul v. Nader would've made for an interesting election.
Enough of this middle-ground, moderate s***--fetishizing of the middle ground is what took us to one-party rule. It's time to put some radical ideas out there and test them against one another.
One thing I can say about that interview it sure has a way of showing the Constitution makes a whole hell of a lot of sense......when we follow it.
