That dude is a joke. At first I thought he was cool because he wasn't putting up with the US empire, but after talking to many Venezuelans I've come to realize that he's just a big a douchebag as all the other politicians.

Doesn't matter Senor, Chavez is an obvious problem. Maybe the both of you could go to etiquette school together, include your relative Seraphim and you probably get a discount.

What problem is that exactly? As much as the US likes to shoot off its mouth about dictators and pontificate how other leaders run their OWN country the ONLY reason this guy is seen as a problem by the US is that he has the ability to nationalize his oil and kick the American oil companies out. That is the ONLY reason the US gives a damn. Not that he's a socialist or communist or authoritarian dictator.

To be honest with you, I wasn't talking anything about his ability to nationalize their oil and kick American campanies out. I was speaking on the fact, he did make an ass out of himself at the Ibero-American summit. I am speaking about his continually interruptions and being rude. The second part of his problem is that he was specifically told not to have any direct contact with the Chief of the Columbian Army. What does he do? He contacts the chief. He is very defiant and very much seems to be a problem and it could start a domino effect in South America.

Can any American really ridicule another world leader for making an "ass out of himself" while our current leader is still in office?

So what your saying.. in short.. is that Chavez is an A-hole, and his A-holeness could have a domino effect throughout all of South America? Tragic. Really.
... And there was a time in ages past when our nation was concerned with a domino effect and invaded a foreign country to prevent it... remind of how well that turned out.
You obviously have a problem with sticking to the point of the conversation but in your usual protocol you deflect.
I'm just trying to find a corolation between a leader being an ass and an inability to lead. Of course, *I* can see it, but apparently many in this country can't.
I mean . . . the whole point of this thread is that Chavez is an ASS, right? I don't see a lot of other brilliant political analysis that you provided to go along with it.
