Uh. . .yeah. Pretty much. Have to laugh though. . .when they were talking about taxing tobacco everyone was on board. Now that it affects something that a much larger majority do, I bet there is more resistance.
Have no problem paying more if I thought the state was going to be responsible with the budget. Problem is we know that even with this sin tax, our state will still have a budget crisis due to the ineptness of our state government.

A plastic bags tax would actually be a good thing. In fact, why not just ban them?
