in other news, tv is a popular diversion, fresh fruit is good for you, and britney spears is a bit eccentric.
News Flash: Sadly, in all of America (except MAYBE California & NY) racism and sexism is alive and well.
This is why I am amazed that the Dems are going with either Obama or Clinton. In a year where they should be a lock to win the presidency, it is almost as if they want to lose.

I've been saying that all along but people don't want to listen.
Yeah, well America may as well just go ahead and hand the remote over to the elephant in the living room then.
last year I was telling people that if the Dems put Hillary or Obama up for election then the Republicans can put a chimp in a suit and still win. I suspect the Dems feel that the election is so in the bag that they can kill a few birds with one stone hence what is going on now. Either campaign will be fueled by idealistic 20 somethings made arrogant by fresh college educations. They will clap like baby seals all the way to the end. Come November they will get their first taste of what the world really is like.
I'm not saying it's good even though I am Republican. I'm just saying that it is what it is and if it's ignored it will bite you in the ass.
This whole article is ludicrous (it is HuffPo, so I shouldn't be surprised)
It starts out with the MLK quote about character and then goes directly to the "we have to support Obama because of the color of his skin" argument
Seriously, Obama has low support among white conservatives so it must be a race issue?
This may come as a shock, but conservatives haven't voted Democrat since they ran out the conservative Southern Democrats out of the party (come back Sam Nunn).
So far Obama hasn't had much of specifics for a plan when he gets into office, hasn't proven anything other than he's a standard liberal politician, and worse yet, has race hustlers like the Jackson family playing the race card left and right.

Can you read? The article is about white southern Democrats.
My problem with the article's logic is they don't consider that Edwards is from South Carolina and is a NC Senator. This is a pretty big factor to ignore.
