Article about the so called 'standoff' with Iran over the weekend.
What would happen if Iran (or any other country for that matter) had navy ships patrolling off the U.S. coast in 'international waters'? I'm guessing we'd do a lot more than harass them with speed boats.
So now that we admitted that the information we had on Iran's nuclear capabilities was false, we're looking for any excuse to attack Iran?!
I wish we were out of that region all together. The leadership of those countries are fanatics and we have no business being over there IMO. And that includes the Saudis.
I hope whomever becomes our new president, he has enough sense to try deplomacy for a change.
Iraq+Iran+Pakistan+Afghanistan= World War III? Scary times.
That whole part of the world should be a parking lot....those 4 you list are just part of the overall picture.. Put that in your pipe and smoke it...But dont hurt Afgan, they have lots and lots of opium..

Is this type of speech significantly different than their brand of hate-mongering? What is it that makes us righteous enough to advocate this type of mass killing? Is it in our water? The color of our flag? The god we pray to?
Or is it perhaps that we have more similarities to these savages than we want to believe? How many civilians has our war-mongering killed? How do we wash our hands clean from all this blood? I know a lot of us use the Qu'ran; they're savages.
I'm so sick of this goddamn sabre-rattling and war-mongering. Our leaders are cowards. Their followers are imbeciles. What a piece of **** president, trying to cause another mess to keep the industrial war complex growing that he won't have to clean up.
We should deport his spanish speaking ass back to Mexico.

Yep. Seems he's trying to leave as big a mess as possible for the next sucker. If the GOP is smart they'll try to shut him up for the next 10 months.
The audio of the US tape certainly sounds suspicious, however the video is clear. The Iranian boats were very lucky to have been allowed to exist in that close after the Cole attack.
Latest reports are speculating that it might be a prankster called the "Filipino Monkey." Apparently he's been listening to ship-to-ship radio transmissions and interjecting his own voice for decades now.
another recent encounter between an Iranian gunboat and a merchant vessel near the Strait of Hormuz last month. When the gunboat challenged the vessel, demanding to know its destination, the Filipino Monkey broke in and replied: "I go to your mother's house. . . . "
Classic.

Lol... We're afraid of a couple of speedboats? Some idiots in SPEEDBOATS are "threatening" a frigate or destroyer? Seriously now people...
Yah, but didn't you see the movie Syriana? They could have been loaded with explosives.
Real life Reference: Yemen Bombings.
What would the Bush administration do if Iran had Navy ships in International waters off the coast of the United States?
I don't know if any of you saw a map of where this 'incident' took place, but it was pretty darn close to Iran. I know it's International waters and everything, but we'd be pissed if any 'enemy' of ours were just cruising along the coast of California in 'International Waters'.

Yep...this is a great point. Just go back some 40+ years to a little island named Cuba. I believe we had nukes pointed at Russia in their neighboring countries. If this isn't a classic case of instigation, what is?
