Mark my words....the racist vote which has been dormant, well, which has never really had a chance to make it's mark will be coming out of the woodwork this November. It won't be a Regan/Mondale type election but I really don't think it will be even close. All the swing states that were so key in 04 and 08? I fully expect those to go to the Republicans.
And the remarks above, trdi, demonstrate what I was thinking about when I said that Orangepuck and I have been predicting this for different reasons. He looks forward to a racist electoral picnic in November with glee because he doesn't care how the right wins an election, he just wants it to win.

I fear that there is reason to believe that racists will deliver the election to the rightists and the thought of it disgusts me. I don't think there will be anything like a landslide number. I do think its possible that a few thousand racist voters in a couple of critical states like Ohio and Missouri could be enough to swing the whole electoral college to McCain.

Racism is and has long been the great sickness of this country.

And KINGS17, anyone (like you) who thinks that blacks voting FOR Obama are equivalent to racist whites who vote AGAINST him because of his race should be embarassed for himself and his lack of simple logical abilitiy,

Racism is the great sickness of most countries. How many countries can you name that have had or even had the chance of voting for a minority head of state? Hell most of them would struggle with the idea of a female President.

I'm not saying that I'm looking forward to it with "glee" because winning on the wings of racism appeals to me. The glee comes from simple fact that after the Democrats gave away the election in 04 because of simple stupidity they seemingly are hell bent on topping themselves by putting a woman and a black man the very next opportunity.

In my book this should qualify "Democrat" as an additional definition for the word 'stupid."

Lets look at it like this. Four years ago, you guys should have won. Plain and simple. Despite the fact that John Kerry had the personality of a mannequin the Democrats still should have won. This year should be even EASIER and what do you guys do? Hillary and Obama. I told you months ago that if Hillary and Obama were put up as the Democratic front runners that you may as well just hand over the election to the republicans. I made that comment without even looking at their platforms or campaign plans. Not that I can look at Obama's "plan" now either. You and others like you on this board countered with statistical evidence that supported the argument that "racists would never vote for a Democrat anyway." Sure, you acknowledged an increase in black voters because well, with a black candidate more of them would register. All the while ignoring the racist guy who would now be inspired to go register to vote. All the while ignoring closet racists who will vote based on bigotry once the curtain to the voting booth behind them is closed. Stupid, stupid, stupid my friend. I tried to tell you guys in uncensored terms of "life in the real world" just how things are and you guys countered with short sighted ideological bull**** and now it's biting you in the ass.

John McCain can call Sunni Muslims Shiite and vice versa and it won't matter because Obama's "57 state slip up" will be far more damaging. Hillary takes shots at him. Just this morning someone called his wife, who is amazingly accomplished, a "scrub woman." THIS IS THE WORLD WE LIVE IN AND UNTIL YOU IDEOLOGY OBSESSED DEMOCRATS PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSES YOU'LL NEVER GET IT.

For the 2nd election in a row you handed the election to the Republicans. My glee comes from not just winning but from seeing the Democrats **** the dog yet again. And you people want to run the country.

As for your claim that "Racism is and has long been the great sickness of this country" again you prove that despite how well versed you are at the same time you can be incredibly naive. Racism wasn't invented in America. Racism has been part of human civilization since the dawn of time and has influenced every major civilization not matter the country.

And Ducks are going to repeat after Scotty and Teemy come back. And we all know how that came out. But let's forget that, I did find one particular statement very disturbing I have to say.

You know what? Without millions of stupid people like these throughout the history you'd be eating sand this very moment and stone tools would be closest to technology you'd ever be. It took a couple of stupid black guys and a couple of very very stupid white guys to ban slavery and later give voting rights to everyone. If that wasn't stupid from a perspective of superior white race, what was?! Would you say that USA are better today without slavery and with black Americans at least officially being equal? Well, it took lots of stupidity to come there.

By the researches I've read there is only one kind of candidate that will never win the elections - atheist. I don't remember correct numbers but it was something like:
5-7% would never vote for black candidate, 5-7% would never vote for a female candidate and 50%+ would never vote for an atheist in USA.

If Obama is the right guy, he is going to win, regardless of race. If H. Clinton is the right candidate, she is going to win regardless of her being a woman. I realize that rednecks are just rednecks, but things are changing just like they've been changing forever. It takes only one good black president to completely crush this prejudice. Is Obama the guy? I don't know.

You call it stupid. I call them courageous and possibly leading USA to a better future. Not because they'd be so great (I have no idea), but prejudices are never good for a society. Maybe your son will become a president of USA one day, because of Obama winning these elections.

You have this incredible ability to read things that not only haven't been written but haven't even been implied.

Are you even an American?

Trust me on this one: I have not misread a thing. There is absolutely no misunderstanding from my side, I am sure of that. I'd suggest you start writing some real content, because discreditation is not going to work this time. It's not easy to discredit me (or you, to be honest, but I don't like using this tactic anyway).

There is only ONE point I have taken from your post and I can not possibly be wrong here: you are claiming, that Democrats are stupid, because they chose a black and female candidate against a Republican. I have quoted it. If you can explain that quote any other way... you deserve a medal. I'm not kidding. Only a person with IQ over 200 could do it.

And no, I don't think anybody needs that incredible ability to come to the same conclusion from:
" In my book this should qualify "Democrat" as an additional definition for the word 'stupid.""
Don't flatter me.

No, Leo unlike you I hold people to the same standards whether they are white, black, brown, red or yellow. That is the difference. If you are someone that favors Obama's position on the issues then by all means vote for him, but it seems odd for any candidate to get 90%+ of the vote from any particular group in a Democratic primary where the candidates are not that far apart on the issues.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you two guys actually agree. He was never using term "black racist" and you were using it, so you were not talking about the same people. I agree that black racists are no better, Leonidas probably understood it like that all black people voting for Obama are racists. However, I do believe that percentage of them that would never vote for a white candidate is lower than it is the other way around. I'm just guessing, to be honest, I could be wrong.

Why am I participating here anyway? I just don't like prejudices of any kind. I do realize that probably every person has them though, me included.

I think you are probably right about this, and yes we all have our prejudices. Take me for example, I hate Mexicans, especially ones that root for the Ducks. JK, OP!
