"U.S. aid to Africa has tripled under his watch. Trade has almost doubled. And his $30-billion initiative fight the global HIV/AIDS pandemic -- he signs this year's measure next Wednesday -- may stand as the largest international health initiative ever initiated by one nation to address a single disease."
"They may not be George Bush's natural constituency but Rwanda's prostitutes have good things to say about him. So do poor South Africans abandoned by their quixotic government, and doctors across Africa who otherwise regard the American president as a walking crime against humanity.
As Bush arrives in Africa today at the start of a five-country tour he will be welcomed chiefly for an initiative which has gone largely unnoticed outside the continent but which has saved the lives of more than a million people with HIV.
The $15bn (£7.6bn) President's Emergency Plan for Aids Relief (Pepfar) is in its fifth year and has been hailed as a "revolution" that is transforming healthcare in Africa and has been praised as the most significant aid programme since the end of colonialism.
This is the best thing that ever happened to the poor people I work with," said Edward Phillips, a Catholic priest overseeing the distribution of life-saving antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) in Nairobi, Kenya. "It's one of the few times I've seen US government money really reach down to the poorest of the poor. It's kept a hell of a lot of people alive."
Bush is still the lesser of the 2 evils. There isnt much I like about Bush, but I think he is a far better choice than John Kerry was four years ago.
It looks like the same thing will happen this election year. I dont care for McCain, but I absolutly hate Obama. So Ill be voting for the lesser of the two evils again, McCain has my vote.

I really think Bush is going to have a breakout season.
And I really don't think his girlfriend's big *** is all that big.

Man, I wish I could forget the lies that led us to invade a soveren nation, i wish i could forget Alberto Gonzales, I wish I could forget gas at 1.75/gallon, I wish I could forget a record surplus, I wish I could forget Monica Goodling, I wish I could forget Karl Rove, I wish I could forget Dick Cheney, I wish I could forget Katrina, I wish I could forget how we are now a country that tortures, I wish I could forget the past 7 plus years, but I cannot. I will always remember the 4000 plus brave men and women who died in a country far from home for oil. I will always remember who is responsible for our countries decline in world standing, who squandered the emotion and strength of this country on September 12, 2001 and turned the world againts us. I will remember W and the GOP, and thats why I am voting for Barrack Obama.
