Default Kings sign "Ice Bike" for Charity

Michael Cammalleri and Jim Riley, President of Yamaha99 (photo: Rinkrat)

This afternoon the Los Angeles Kings players gathered to sign the gas tank and side panels of a motorcycle named the LA Kings "Ice Bike". The customized chopper, which will be auctioned off at this year's Tip-a-King charity event, is a 2008 Yamaha Star Raider with a 113 cubic inch fuel injected V Twin engine and lots of chrome. Along with the players autographs, the bike will feature graphics including team logos and streaking puck designs custom painted by the award-winning Ogawa Designs in Sanger, Calif. The custom wheels that will resemble Kings crowns are designed by Sinister Wheels of Turloc, Calif, while the custom exhaust is from Tejas Thump Cycles in Meadow, Texas. Assembly of the bike is being done in Madera, Calif. and you can see daily updates at www.yamaha99.com.

If you are interested in calling this chopper your own you might have to compete with a few of the players, judging by their interest during the signing event. The bike was donated by Dr. Robert S, Bray Jr., Founding Director and CEO of D.I.S.C. Spine and Sports Center, who also are the main sponsors of Tip-a-King. The proceeds from the auction at the annual Tip-a-King charity event on February 24 at Universal Studios will benefit the Kings Care Foundation.
