That being said Carla, if it was not for your honesty regarding the team and its offseason efforts, I would likeliy not have renewed. Again thank you for your efforts. You and Rich have made a very tough time more tolerable.
Thank you so much! All of me thinks that the reason Lombardi and Hextall especially spoke with a zillion percent more emotion and passion was to address exactly your sentiments. They get more than I have ever seen before that the 40 years before them have worn down the fan base. This was acknowledged and then at the end of the breakfast, Dean put up the team's draft history from inception to the present to make the point that NO regime prior to this one built this team with a foundation and effort to grow their own talent. Lombardi came one step short of near begging to make this point. I hope you will consider going to a future breakfast because seeing this message first hand had a definite impact in person. Make no mistake though, many, many people share your take on this, truly.

It is I or we should I say thank you too!. You give up your free time for a passion and Love, that is a true fan. I am glad you are with us here for the La Kings of La, insteard of the pretenders to the south. WE WILL catch up to them soon enough, and then maybe then they can fade quietly into the night.

I am at the belief that Lombardi and his staff are TRYING not to let on just how exited they are about this season. They do not want everyone to get their hopes up, just in case we don't make the playoffs again. HOWEVER, I truly think we will be the biggest surprise out of the west. And if we don't get there, I believe it will only be because the kids are learning. There WILL be mistakes. BUT I know the heart and the passion will be therre this year. The core of this team does not have the negativity of Slowdry and Flake to hold them back. I think they will take charge and surprise everyone. I have been through 'rebuilding' processes before. But not like this one. We are finally doing it right. My only hope i that ownership lets Dean stay the course here. (or sells the team to someone that cares. That would actually be #1) Im very exited for this season, and the surprise I BELIEVE it will bring. Either way, my pride&passion will NOT waiver. Great article Carla!!!! GO KINGS!!!!
