I just returned from a few days in the snow to find out about Andy Murray being relieved of his coaching duties. From a fan's perspective, Mr. Murray has always been a class act who was accessible and very friendly at the team's practices and events.
We at LGK wish Andy all the best in the future, he was always great to us and will be missed.
WOW, how far out in the snow were you? we have been there over and over with this topic. RR, you need to go back and read the last 3,000,000,000 posts on this story.
This is your homework for the weekend. Be sure not to use clifnotes either.

Yeah I made it a point to turn off the phone. I still haven't checked the messages, I'm pretty bad about that. I'll have to read the threads. I know it can get pretty cruel here so I hope the fans showed him some gratitude for his time spent here.
It's always a shame when you know where someone's heart is, but the results come up as snake eyes... Andy as a person amazing... As a coach not the right fit.
Good luck to you A. Murray, I choose to remember the great gutsiest call I've ever seen when you pulled our netminder with 3 plus minutes left and came back to tie and then beat the red Wings a few years ago.......Your a good man .........I know you'll be coaching again..(Canuck's).
I feel bad for AM, but the players seemed to have tuned him out. His system seems to always work for the 1st half of the season, but the players always seem to run out of gas in the 2nd half. It was difinetly becoming a trend. The special teams were ultimately his down fall. Not sad to see JVB go. Best of luck to AM, but it was time for a change. 7 years with one team is a rarity these days in coaching.

Yeah, and learn to use the search button....merge police!
Ok, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Nobody like to loose a job, however, before the olympic break everyone was screaming to fire AM's butt and now.....what a nice guy, oh, maybe it was a mistake, oh we will miss you AM...give me a break! AM will land on his feet, most of us who have lost a job do, so let's just move on to the future and get a grip on the reality of why he was let go.
If the players as a team are not responding, it is not a mistake, but I have always liked Murray and think that he had to work under very difficult conditions the last few years. ie: injuries to key players.
I hope AM coaches Canada This year in the World Hockey Championships and Wins his Third Gold in Three attemps as a head coach there, Then I have this feeling we will see him behind the bench for Toronto next year.
Good luck AM
I liked AM a lot for the first four or five years, but more and more I've grown frustrated with each season's results. I can't pinpoint what the exact problems were, but there was obviously something wrong, particularly in the second half of these past two seasons. Injuries are hell, and our Kings seem to have had FAR more than any team should have to deal with, but the problem seems deeper than that. That recent 5-1 loss to the Av's at Staples had little to do with injuries, and far more to do with a team who, collectively, seemed to have stopped trying. Why? We'll never really know. As a Kings fan, I can only wish AM all the best, and hope like all hell that our Kings quickly get back to working hard, going to the net, playing SOME defense, having fun, being competative, winning games, and hopefully, making the playoffs. GO KINGS!
You are wished the best of success behind the next bench! Thanks for all the good moves and choices during the last seven years. As for the choices moves and choices that didn't work out, we've all made mistakes. You have always been amazing when it comes to accessibility to the fans; a rarity in any sport. A word of advice from a die hard hockey fan...don't hire JVB on your next team.
andy is a stand-up guy and truly dedicated to the game for the love of the game. i believe that he did us (LA) well and gave us some incredibly unorrthodox coaching moves to always keep us fans on our toes. i agree that it was time to part ways as one of the key factors in andy's coaching style is team chemistry and it's apparent LA's chemistry was grossly off.
thank you andy and the best of luck to you and your family. i fell in love with the kings during andy's time with the team and he'll always be an LA intregal memory for me.
ok, so...let's play hockey boys and win some games!
