Nice drink on a hot day.
Usually, I'm just a jack/coke, rum/coke, 7/7 type of drinker, but I've been trying the many variations of the martinis lately and I also have to admit that I really like a good pina colada (and getting caught in the rain-heh) now and then.
You?

I like a number of drinks, as to a favorite, it depends on who prepares it. My favorites are usually ones I fix myself, like a margarita on the rocks or a pina colada.

While I can always fall back on my favorite...a Long Island. I've come to respect and love a good Sidecar. Its like me....sweet and subtle, with a good swift kick in the ass....uh, wait.
A simple Vodka Tonic is probably the mixed drink I order the most. It's also a barometer of how I judge an establishment in the drink making department. If you F-up a vodka tonic...I'm gonna drink beer the rest of the night, because you just plain SUCK at making drinks. My signature drink is probably Glenlivet on the rocks. Love that stuff.
Manhattans are good for the more bang for your buck catagory.
bogeyman - another drink that's good on a hot day:
*passionfruit caipirinha
-rim glass w/brown sugar
-2-3 tsp brown sugar in glass
-juice of 1 lime
-reserve 1/2 lime after juicing
-1 part cachaca (brazilian rum)
-1 part ceres passionfruit juice
...stir, place lime peel in, add plenty of ice.
other favs-
*jack and coke w/grenadine
*mimosa
*strawberry stoli tonic
*gin/vodka and tonic
tried a ketel & tonic wednesday night but it was more like a double ketel w/ a splash of tonic... i felt like i could blow a flame after that drink.
