You can break up a six pack and buy a single beer???

This is news to me! I went in a liquor store today to see if they had any beers I wanted to sample. Usually I buy the big bottles for around $3.00 to take home and try. It's hard to buy a 6 pack of something you haven't tried since you may dislike it and now have 5 beers you don't like on your hands.

Then I saw a price chart on what each beer cost individually. I was stunned. I double checked with the clerk and he said they sold individual 12oz bottles for $1.00 - $1.50 each.

Absolutely perfect for sampling!

Is this rare or do most/all places do this and I've just been way behind for a year?

I think you can do that at Vendome Liquors. And as was posted, it sucks trying to buy a six pack when there's only 4 bottles in it.

Concur... thats why it never occurred to me that this was okay. I've seen the occasional beer missing and always assumed they were stolen or something. The six pack deserves to stay together!

That said, I'm very excited about sampling beers for $1.50 now instead of buying the whole pack for $7.99 or whatever. I apologize in advance to those I screw over.

Oh I have - I discovered one of my fave beers there (Ballast Point Yellowtail Pale Ale... orgasmic!)

I made the mistake of going in there with only $25 in my wallet. I'm saving up to make an excursion at some point!

Going there with your ID and your cash limit is the safest way to go.

Going there with a credit card is always painful when the bill comes 3 weeks later.

Hey USC, take a 30 pack of beer up to the counter at 7-11. break it open and take 1 out and ask how much it is...haaaaa....Bevmo is the place to go (as mentioned above)

I don't mind blowing $8 on a sixer, because I get 5 more beers after. Even if I'm not a huge fan, its still beer. And I'm a beer slut.
