Anyone looking for something that might be fun and interesting in a couple weeks, there's the Grilled Cheese Invitational which will be taking place Saturday, April 19th.
The website doesn't say where the invitational will take place, but according to the most recent Los Angeles magazine, it's going to be at the Crystal Springs picnic area of Griffith Park. The magazine also had this to say:

Just wondering...is J & J House Of Subs (Magnolia & Talbert in Fountain Valley) still around??? Last I remember...they had one hell of a King Kong sandwich on their menu...
For now I have to go to the Freemont Family Market (across the street from the ElCommode) to get a close knock-off...

DiSimmones on Edinger and Goldenwest. Complimentary salad bar and great subs for a great price.
Kings Pizza-The Kings Special is just your basic sub sandwich but the quality of the meats and cheeses on it along with their italian dressing rocks.
