About This Page: This is a discussion on Food and Beer Reviews within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. ...just got a little better. As many of you know, Chef was in culinary school for the past year and he just started yesterday at Stone.
Can we say Field
Don't know you, but that's great! Always nice to hear good news, especially someone scoring an awesome job like that! If you do organize an LGK field trip to Stone, count me in! I haven't been able to check out Stone in person since their garage days in San Marcos (of course, have consumed PLENTY of bottles in the interim), and I've been itching to check out the bistro.
MMMM .... Stone Bistro. Haven't been for a couple of months, looks like its time for another visit. I absolutely love the Beer Mac'N'Cheese and the bison burger, heaven on a bun!

Tell me more about the Mac and Cheese.....
Have you had the Yardhouses? If so, how does it compare?

I have not tried the Yardhouse Mac N Cheese, but according to my sister and her husband, Stone's is better.
From the Menu:

Mac ’n Beer Cheese 16 ¾
Mike’s Beer Cheese makes classic mac ’n cheese classier. And
more importantly, much tastier. Made with Mike’s Stone
Smoked Porter & Garlic Beer Cheese with sun dried tomatoes,
and basil, along with Stone Smoked Porter Sausage from San
Marcos’ T&H Prime Meats & Sausage. Wow, it’s good! You
can make it vegetarian by omitting the sausage, or by
substituting tofu and/or broccoli for the sausage. Wow, that’s
good too!

Need to experience the place soon. I had hoped to stop by on my way to SD last month but my friends all decided on Mexican food in old town instead.

Just thinking of a series of dreams
you should have dumped all your friends in old town and go to Stone's yourself..
They were providing the wheels, and it's a long walk back to Claremont.

During the summer and early fall, they do a movie night in the Gardens. The girlfriend and I went saw "The Princess Bride" there. Its pretty cool, you make like a 5:30 dinner reservation, put your chairs out when you get there, have dinner, drinks, take dessert to go and eat it during the movie!

Hey one more question for you. What else(besides the Mac and Cheese) would you recommend off their lunch menu? I am going to be there in a few weeks and I am open to suggestions
