Spicy Chocolate!

I picked up a bar of this at Target the other day cuz I saw it and it just sounded too interesting to pass up.



Before any of you say "yuck" keep an open mind. It was very surprising. I once went to some fancy truffle store at the Irvine Spectrum and had something that had pepper in it and loved it, so I figured this couldn't be that bad, especially since it's Lindt.

Perfectly sweet and bitter dark chocolate that melts evenly in your mouth...and just when you think "I don't taste the chili at all..." your mouth comes alive with just a small and kind of subtle spicy kick. It's fantastically deelish.

For you adventurous ones out there, this is a must.

I have tasted all chocolates I could find in my stores. (Took me a lot of time and money) Of course this one was on my list, too. As you say, the chili comes AFTER couple of seconds, that's sneaky. However I am not a big fan of chocolate with chili or pepper.

But since you are a fan, here's an advice: you have to taste this one



This series of chocolate is all good, it has about 6-7 different tastes. 150g per package I believe and most of them have interesting combinations of flavors.

For the nonspicy chocolates I suggest some of the Lindt fillled chocolates or maybe Cote D'Or. Cote D'Or orange is one of my favorites:

I haven't tried the Lindt bar yet, but The Chuao, Dagoba and Vosges chocolate chili bars are quite tasty.

Another vote for the Vosges here. But based on your recommendation I'll pick up the Lindt if I see it. LOVE choco y chili.
