I am going there this Friday. Do you guys have any suggestions for appetizers, entres or deserts? I have never been there, but have been to Flemming's many times and Donovan's once. Do they have the steak and knobber special, I was told to ask for it.

I will be sure to stiff her and tell her she made a huge mistake in dumping you.

it's a hard thing to screw up, but i've have fan-f'ing-tastic baked potatoes there.

Since it's your first time, you have to go with the Filet. It's really a must eat at least once. Some of the toppings are also very good.
Their herb-cheese stuffed chicken breast, however, is a VERY tasty alternative - and about half the price and plenty more food.
While I can't, in good conscience, go to Ruth's Chris for fish, those in my party who have ordered it have nothing but praise for it afterwards. Crazy people!
I will also second the stuffed Mushrooms - probably their best appy. Their Caesar salad is pretty decent too - and they'll split it for you in the kitchen if you want to share.
For dessert - as already mentioned, their Creme Brulee is damn good. One of the best I've had anywhere. If you like bananas, however, it's hard to pass up their little toasted creme pie. Also very tasty.
Everything mentioned is awesome, of course. If you're a sweet potato person (like your mom made with brown sugar and marshmallows) try the sweet potato casserole thingy... You could almost get it for dessert. It's got a nice praline crust on top. Yum!

Thanks for all of the tips. I will most likely get the filet unless I have a strong urge for seafood. I really would like the mushrooms, but my wife does not like seafood or mushrooms. Maybe the other couple will split it with me. That banana creme pie sounds great. Between all of the drinks and great food I can feel the lbs pouring on. It sounds kinda of gay, but after dinner we are going back to my wife's friends house to "play" DDR. The things I do for love.

I went there 2 weeks ago, the new one in Santa Barbara. It was delicious but expensive. The portions are generous. You can easily split them. I got the filet too.
No one mentioned the creamed spinach. I recommend that too.
its aaaall about the ribeye. i think ribeye is better than the filet, but the filet is still good. either way, if its your first time, get steak not seafood. a lot of folks nowadays ask for the extra butter.
the potatoes and mushrooms are delish. other sides are good, but they're just regular sides. and i only get the creme brulee for dessert so i can't help you there. honestly, i don't think you'll find anything terrible.
some ruth's cris don't serve the porterhouse for two, but irvine does if you're interested.
i typically treat some of my hungry guy friends there from time to time cuz they're guys and like meat and cuz i'm a good friend. i've never had a bad experience. have fun!
