Sorry, I scrolled through pretty fast. On ebay I bought a Kona Longboard tap handle that is a small outrigger paddle. It is the pride of my tap handle collection.

What is the TSC?

Seconded on the Lagunitas. Quality brewery. Not sure if they will release the Hairy Eyeball again or not, but that thing has a HUGE kick to it. Very tasty too.

Nice to see a few folks enjoying the Paulaner Oktoberfest. I picked up a couple of sixes last week. 'Tis the season! :smile3:

so I had the Bitch Creek beer. not bad for an ESB, but certainly not in the same class as most other ESBs.

Was at the liquor store yesterday and got New Belgium Brewing's 2 Degrees Below Winter Ale and 1554 Black Ale. The 2 Degrees Below was ok but the the 1554 Black Ale is great. I defenitely recommend the Black Ale.

if anyone hasn't recommended it yet, I have a good one

Steelhead Double IPA from Mad River Brewing Co., somewhere in the redwoods up north.

that thing is 8.6%

Here are some new tasty brews that I have tried in the last couple of weeks:

Paulaner Hefe Weizen - The best Hef I have ever had !!!! Hands down. Tried a tall bottle of it and loved it, so I brought a 6'er of it out to the desert on our riding trip last weekend. Very refreshing and flavorful while sitting around the campfire in the cold weather. No nasty aftertaste or bloated stomach afterwards. Went down very smooth !!!!

Franziskaner Heffe Weiss - Another quality hef.... Perhaps the runner up to the Paulaner. Would definately drink it again without hesitation.

Hofbrau - Had their hef as well, and isn't quite up to par with the above 2 that I mentioned. Better than the Widmer and Pyramid **** though ! Overall a decent tasty brew.

Warsteiner Premium Verum - First tried it years ago, but just had it again this past weekend and rediscovered why I loved it so much. I would place it over any other German Pilsener that I have had.

Fat Tire Amber Ale - Tried this one a year ago out of a bottle and wasn't overly impressed. Had it on draft about a month ago, and LOVED it !!! So, I also brought a 6'er of this on our riding trip last weekend and poured each bottle into a dixie cup. Definately balanced out the taste that way and I was a happy lad to say the least.

Firestone Pale Ale - An impressive pale ale, but certainly doesn't stand out like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Stone Pale Ale. I would drink it again, but would take SN or Stone first.

Sierra Nevada Brown Ale - Hate to say it, but I was a pube dissapointed with this one. I was expecting a nuttier type of taste to it, but instead got a rather blunt finish which didn't satisfy my desires. I'll be donating the other 5 bottles to my roomates.

Sam Adams Winter Lager - Yummm !!!! The spices used in this put the finishing touches on a great tasting full bodied lager. I would definately pick this up again, which will actually be soon with these low temperature nights that we've been having.

This weekend's menu: Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale !!!!!!!!!

I have yet to find a Brown Ale I like.

Fat tire is one of those beers that has be tried on Tap. The bottle doesn't do it justice.

If you're ever in the San Dimas area, hit me up and I'll let you have a couple of my Sierra Nevada Browns that are lefted over if they're still available.

Don't like New Castle Brown Ale I take it ?

Actually Newcastle would be the exception, I actually forgot about it when I made that statement

The Browns I was thinking of The American Browns like Acme Brown, Redhook Brown Ale" and Samuel Adams Brown. Those all blow dead puppies

For a brown ale - try Lost Coast Downtown Brown.

Exactly

AB$" I have tried Downtown Brown quite a few times and I'll go with Bleh. It is better than Red Hook's Brown though.

I forgot about that one, but for some reason, I think that one is a bit too dark for my taste. kind of like a chocolate syrup with malt. it wouldn't have been a brown ale in my book.

good stuff, though
