Pabst Blue Ribbon

So this is more of a confession then a suggestion, but here it goes:

So given the current economic state and the fact i work in construction-- my buddies and i have started drinking Pabst, or PBR as we refer to it in short. Considering its pretty much half of the now overpriced (imo) domestic beers which never seem to go on sale anymore, its really not a terrible beer.

I still enjoy my 'good' beers down at the local pub every now and again when i can spare the cash or if i wonna splurge on a sixer of something else, but for a beer just to drink in a party/kickback setting or while hanging around looking to get a good buzz on while watching the game i give it a thumbs up.

What sad days these are indeed.

As a matter of fact i recall seeing on yahoo that Pabst sales have risen significantly since the economic downturn. So apparently im not the only sap in this boat lol.

What about you guys? Is the economy affecting your beer drinking, or liquor if youre not a beer drinker?

i did have my sister get me some sparks
it's a beer/energy drink
and those are tasty
but i still get some bud light/ newcastle /molson in

One of my friends told me recently that they arent gonna make Sparks anymore.

Im ok with that though cus it doesnt taste all that great and i drank a mess of them one night at a party and didnt even get tipsy. Big ol scam/fad if you ask me.

My cheap beer is the High Life in 32oz. form. I still "splurge" on beer and tequila though. ESPECIALLY tequila. Unless you know of a Costco deal....

Only time I drink PBR is in Vegas. They use to have dollar cans of PBR at Hogs and Heffers in Downtown, but who knows if they are still only a dollar.

It's $1.29 for a 24oz at Ralphs... so hell yeah I've been drinking Pabst lately.

I'll even occasionally drink it out of a brown paper bag for effect.

The hipsters in my neighborhood are way ahead of you, Junior.
They think it's cool because the Trustafarian fixed gear bike riders drink PBR.
Only struggling out of touch yuppies drink fancy Belgian beer (Hoegaarden, is my fave).

Let me know when you start drinking Frenet Branca neat with your draft PBR and I'll join you with a shot of Don Julio 1942.
