I was wondering if anybody had any good recommendations for a nice outdoor setting type restaurant. It's my wife's 30th birthday and she wants to celebrate outdoors. I checked the Hotel Bel Aire Terrace and they are all booked up. It probably does not help that we have a party of 15 too. Any good recommendations in L.A. or the OC?
I'd recommend the Cedar Creek Inn Restaurant in San Juan Capistrano. Right across from the Mission and the outdoor setting is really nice. http://www.cedarcreekinn.com/sanjuan.html
How about Yamashiro's in Hollywood Hills? I haven't been there in ages but the view of downtown from the outside tables was great. The food was quite tasty too.....
Another vote for C&O in Venice. I would suggest going for the weekend brunch. The breakfast is amazing there, and when you are done, you can walk down the beach, or do whatever.

C&O Trattoria, i've only been there once and was trying for the life of me to remember the name of it for that last 5 years. lol, I don't hit Venice that much obviously.
I'll give it a 3rd thumbs up, courtyard was nice if crowded but we had a party similar to your size and it worked out fine and the food was decent but the portions were excellent.
