Long Beach Crawfish Festival

The $25 presale dinner/admission ticket includes 2.5 to 3 lbs of live crawfish plus sides. Never been there, so can't say whether or not it's worth it. If it wasn't such a busy weekend for me, I'd probably go check it out.

It says the crawfish are served by Bristol Farms. I've never had bad meat or seafood from Bristol Farms so I have the feeling it will be first class grub.

A bucket of mudbugs, a roll of paper towels, and a couple of pitchers of beer in the sun whilst listening to New Orleans Jazz.

I could think of a helluva lot worse ways to spend a weekend afternoon.

I wacked 3 dozen of them when I was in LV at the Orleans Casino buffet. Too much work for such a small payoff.

The ones I ate weren't that big. I can get the good rhythm down for any shellfish but crawfish can be a hassle sometimes. I rather get some spot shrimp or prawns.

I need to get some decent sized crawfish and have a good ole' shellfish boil soon.

I didnt go, but a friend of mine did and said he spent over $100 for him and his wife. They each got about 2 lbs of crawfish.

I'd rather just go down to San Pedro on a weekday and get a pound of shrimp and a lobster tail to split with the lady.
