Hipcheck's recipe for the turkey, herb butter etc., is fantastic. Tried it this year and it was a BIG hit. Moist, tender etc. Marinated it in Guiness and herb butter for two days before cooking. Thank you Hipcheck.

I remember before microwaves being mainstream TV Dinners and Boil in a Bag type meals being standard fare and if you were hungry meant waiting 45 minutes for one of those things to cook in the metal tray.

UMM....yes. Actually the whole thing kind of scared me. Plus, I had minor surgery on my back the day before Thanksgiving so I knew I would not be able to do the lifting etc. But, I will try it one day.

Ahhhh yessssss.... the good, old aluminum tray with the foil over the top. We're showing our ages! LOL Even with the microwavable trays, I still prefer to throw 'em in the oven and wait. The food just seems to come out better, not soft and soggy like it does out of the microwave.
