Has anyone ever tried making their own homemade cream cheese? The bagel places around town are pretty good, but their cream cheese is horrible. I was thinking of trying to whip up a batch and see if I can do any better. Has anyone tried this or cheesemaking in general in the past? Any words of advice?

Trust me dude. Even with a plain bagel it's amazing. Completely ruined me for jalapeno cream cheese. It's just not the same as the real thing. When I first discovered this (using parmesan bagels from Costco) I literally ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner for like 2-3 days. It goes without saying that the bagel MUST be toasted.
