Healthier BBQ Alternatives
(New York) Barbecue foods are loaded with fat and calories.
So let me get this straight - a turkey burger with mustard, sweet potato and bluberries/creme cheese? Thanks, but I'd rather eat some celery.
If you follow a healthy diet, there's no need to worry about fat and calories enjoyed during "event" meals. If I'm gonna have a burger, it's gonna be a burger, not some ground turkey with mustard ****.

reminds me of an episode of Married With Children where Steve asked all to grill some fish that he an Marcy bought with them in lieu of the steaks Al was cooking. Only to have Al toss it in the garbage after Steve turned around.
situations like these and turkey burgers can be avoided very easily. Don't invite emasculated douchebag wussies to a BBQ!!!!!
Turkey burgers are good. I have a regular burger maybe once every couple years. That said, on holidays I agree it's good to get a taste of something different. Also agree with Stef, moderation is the key.
I think it's human nature to want most what you can't have. If you are never ever able to have something again... like you can never have a steak again for the rest of your life, it could become an obsession. Knowing that you can have something, just not often, is much better.
Portion control is just as if not more important as what you eat. Just sayin.
Absolutely. It's ALL about portion control, balance and a little self-sacrifice. Don't have to give it all up, but can't just go willy-nilly all-day every day.

Oh yeah. I eat blueberries almost every day. Just don't tell me to eat those instead of apple pie if the option is there.
