There's one in LA on Sepulveda and National. I've been there once and here's my 2 cents:
- The style is 50's diner-ish. The place is remarkable clean. They do a good job.
- The food comes on paper plates, and the place is very low maintenance. The staff very friendly. The price acceptable for fast food burgers.
- I wasn't impressed with the burgers but they weren't at all bad. About a 6 on a 1 to 10 scale. But maybe if you get a loaded burger with all the dressings it'll be kickass. Dunno. Fries, ok tasting.
But you should check it out at least once. It won't hurt your pocketbook and it's always nice to go to a fast food burger joint that's clean, clean.
A new burger place opened by me here in SD, Little Italy. Right next to the Waterfront Bar. It replaced a Cajun place that was ok.
The 1/2 lb Bacon Cheeseburger was pretty good, the seasoned fries were nice and big. I'll have to go back and try out their works burger that has grilled onions, bacon and avocado.
I went to UCSB and the original Habit is in Goleta right by the school. Over the past 10 years or so it seems like they're really expanding.
It definitely is a fast food hamburger joint and it'd say confidently it's a step up from In N Out. We used to go to the one in Goleta once a week (before the diet) and were never disappointed.
This is also coming from a very picky eater! Her in n out order plain hamburger with nothing on it except ketcup or something like that.
I ate out with a friend at In'n'Out a couple days ago and that's what she got, cheeseburger, just ketchup. What's the point, people? It's all about extra spread!
And I work right there, so I'll be trying it, but doubt it'll be better than In'n'Out. I'll let people know when it opens since I'm right there.
