Default Great pizza on a BBQ Grill

A friend bought something called a ZaGrill from our nearby BBQ Galore store for baking a frozen pizza on the grill, and told me I had to get one. Me, being the skeptic I am, said no way will it work, but I figured at under $20, and seeing how it's been too freeking hot to turn the oven on at night for pizza, I went for it.
Wow, what a surprise. The kids like the frozen DiJourno pizzas, and we like the frozed CPK's and they both turn out better one the grill than in the oven.
This weekend my youngest boy had the soccer team over after the game and we had both the oven and the grill going with pizza's....

I do agree that sometimes it's just too hot to bake in the kitchen. Any pics, links or a description of this thing? Is it like a modified pizza stone?

I threw away the box, but it was from some company like Eastman or something like that. It is a metal pan with holes in it, and there is a space below where you put the pizza that you can put flavored wood chips if you want. 425 degrees at 23 minutes and a frozen large pizza is perfect every time.

I guess frozen pizza would need this thing for sure, cuz put it on the hot grates and the bottom is toast before it's even thawed probably.

I have been wanting to try a pizza party bbq using my side smoker for a while now. This thread might kick me into finally trying it. Stoke up the fire box (indirect heat) to a nice 425, get a bunch of boboli, sauce and fixins and let people make whatever they want.

You should go to Trader Joe's and pick up some of their fresh pizza dough. That stuff is off the hook and pretty inexpensive IIRC.
