The wife and I just bought a crockpot and made a Tritip. What a great invention, the meat was fork tender and juicy. We plan on making at least 1 crockpot meal a week. What's your favorite crockpot recipe?

We've got a crockpot but I've never used it. Wifey is the chili queen.
Give me a good tri-tip recipe for the crockpot and I'll give it a try.
If you like spicy go with the Stubbs Pork Marinade. Just put the tri-tip in the crockpot and fill the pot with Stubbs until the meat is almost covered. Let it cook until the meat is fork tender and serve on hoagie rolls. If you like mayo put a thin coat on the rolls.........
Another good thing is to jazz up spaghetti sauce in it. I brown my ground turkey meat (no beef in my household but it would work just as well) and then dump in the crock pot. Add your favorite sauce (I use 2 jars Prego) and put on low. Cooks slowly and simmers down the sauce quite nice to go over spaghetti.
The wife does a great turkey meatloaf with bbq sauce and potatoes and carrots all in the crock pot. We introduced our daughters to it this week as a matter of fact. She also did a great italian sausage soup back in the day. We are still looking for that recipe.
And RR, doing a Tri Tip in the crock pot is the easiest thing in the world. We entertained family once and I did two mediums sized ones in a crock pot and it was literally put them in, cover with bbq sauce and cook all day. Crock pot is the greatest invention ever.

I have one, but we almost never use it b/c I just don't know what to do with it. Seems like the food is always watery, bland & gray, so I must not be doing it right. What's the secret??
I did make a really good jambalaya one time, though...I'll have to look that recipe up and try it again...

Cook a big pork roast in water all day long til it falls apart. Drain the water and pull the pork apart. Add some Big Ricks BBQ sauce. Makes great pulled pork and even better sandwiches.
