About This Page: This is a discussion on Food and Beer Reviews within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Anyone have any hints for a modestly-priced champagne? Hopefully, it is something I can get at BevMo as it is right down the street.
Gracias.
Anything that says Roederer, Taittinger, Heidsick, Mumm, or Moët somewhere on the label will be fine. Veuve C. is also excellent and always a safe bet as mentioned above. If you want something domestic, try some "J". And yes, don't overlook the Rosé's!! With a nice piece of wild Salmon, what could possibly be better?
For the best value under $15 get some Spanish Cava or Italian Prosecco. Prosecco can be slightly sweet, but Cava is bone-dry and has GOT to be the best deal around these days....
Let me just say this: I really liked the Iron Horse. Delicious! Exciting! Priced well! Is that Domestic?! It's really good! Wow!
I got to joke about how George Bush likes Iron Horse Champagne and that's about all I can agree with him on...haha...cheers! Ching! More please!
so go sell your Sonoma sparkle juice in either the other wine thread or the one where i posted about Simply Apple and Grapefruit Juice Squeeze.
btw, Kat and i picked up a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and a bottle of the Piper-Heidsieck Brut because the Rosé Sauvage (which i enjoyed last year) was no more at Cost Plus, and it's FAR too expensive at Bevmo this year... and i had a gift card!!!
