Did you go to the Old Town Mexican Cafe? That place rules. I had a carne asada plate a couple of weeks ago and it made me miss san diego so bad. Their hand made tortillas kick so much ass its not even funny.

Totally agreed here....best shredded carnitas place Ive ever had with kick ass margaritas. I like to get a bit liquored up and hit the Whaley House and then the Old Town village.

you got stock in this franchise or something? awfully defensive about what amounts to personal opinions.
I can relate. I get pretty defensive if people say In N Out is trash. It all comes down to personal taste.
The thing is, all these places are fine if you accept them for what they are. I eat at Taco Bell. I grew up down the street from one and ate there all the time despite the fact that my mom was born and raised in Mexico and can whip up some awesome food. The thing is, I accept Taco Bell for what it is: cheap, decent food. Is it authentic? Far from (I don't remember eating any cheesey gordita crunch wraps when we'd go on vacations to visit the family). Is it great food? No, but at the time I'm eating it, I accept Taco Bell for what it is. In the end, it's my opinion and while some may call it crap and never eat there, there's probably a few places they swear by that I would call crap and never eat there.

As a matter of fact I did!!!! Ofcourse I parked about a mile away. But I got to tell you, it doesn't get any better.
I then got on the train and went to the Angel game. It was a good day!!!

Obviously, another person who dines regularly at Del Taco. Why not try it before you make a stupid a$$ statement?
Taco Time > Del Taco > Taco Bell.
They are in the same category as far as fast food is concerned. A buddy of mine managed one up in Reno, when I lived there, and I got food for free all the time. Delicious for what it is.
Then I found Jimboy's Tacos and never looked back. Once again, it is in the fast food category, but is more authentic than Taco Time and tastes soooooo much better. It is the first place I go to whenever I am up there. Good to see that they are open in Vegas now. Just seeing this is making my mouth water:

Decided that it isn't worth the try when I saw "mexi-fries" on their menu. Fast-Food American Mexican food, no thanks! I'll stick to albertos, robertos, ______bertos.

Taco Time sucks ass. It's the Arby's of Mexican fast food. When I used to do road trips in the summer we'd be jonesing for Mexican food and Taco Time was the only choice we had, and even then it was a tough choice.

Don't insult Arby's like that please.
