Being a snob is NOT A GOOD THING.
You get upset because people drink "inferior beers"?
**** YOU!!!'
Get over it. Get pissed because people vote for the wrong politician or kill people. Not because they have different taste in poison than you do.
On that note...
Nobody should watch HEROES because it sucks and 30 Rock is the best show on television and if you disagree with me you are a simpleton and a dunderhead.
i would also like to add that i personally think some of you really need to STOP drinking Mexican piss...

I never claimed that being a snob was a good thing.

Well, on the bright side, at least I used the right word

I'd choose Bud anyday, especially over hoighty-toighty flamer beers like Corona and Heini. Corona is not only low in alcohol, it also tastes like it's been brewed with one log of poo in every batch just to give it that nasty after taste that you can smell when you pop open a bottle. Bud rocks and it tastes a lot like Molson Canadian which also rocks.
Corona 5.2% vs. Bud 3.5%, Bud gets knock down to 3.2% at all arenas & stadiums its sold at. In America you don't get the same Bud that's shipped overseas which has to meet stricter regulations, while Corona is the same world wide.
Corona>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bud

Budweiser, Coors, even MGD if I'm just drinking for no reason. However, if I want to drink something tastier, I'll reach for Guinness, New Castle, Bass, St. Pauli Girl, Rolling Rock, Sapporo, etc.
Tried a new one over the weekend: Young's double chocolate stout. Very interesting. Dark chocolate aftertaste. Closest thing to a dessert beer I've ever had. Anybody else have one?
BTW: to the OP's rant: why do people still pack Starbuck's? Because, the vast majority of people go after the popular name and disregard the better options out there. It's too much effort to try something out when you know that your cup of Starbucks will generally be accepted. If it tastes great as opposed to just decent, than that's just a bonus.

I've tried that chocolate stout. It was surprisingly decent.

i def would have went with the Amstel or Sam Adams on that list. a very very chilled Amstel Light is amazing. it has a crisp bite to it.
now, the way is see it, people pick bud light and whatnot because they want something inoffensive. the only offensive drinks that people like are the ones that'll get them really f***ed up (like my friend who says likes the "taste" of vodka but wont drink beer). theyre not gonna drink something they dont like if its only gonna get them buzzed. but the thing is that bud light is SO mild and inoffensive that it's like you're not really drinking anything at all, except some bad tasting water. i think everyone would be switching to Amstel or Sam Adams light if they gave them a good shot. they're both very easy on the palette, and they're not so character-less to the point where you might as well be drinking gatorade.
ps- the drinks are free at the slots? i thought only water and soda were. dont take my word for it though, i dun kno nuthin

If you like that, you should try Mississippi Mud. Mixes dark and light beer with a hint of chocolate. Strong taste, but sweet and smooth... definitely worth a try if that type of beer is your cup of tea (er, beer). You can get it at Trader Joes as well as some liquor stores... comes in a cool little jug with an alligator on it.

Amstel Light is a great call. I was very surprised at how good it was upon first tasting.
Casinos GLADLY give you free drinks at the slots. Slots are the worst payouts in Vegas... free drinks to impair your judgment so you keep feeding money into 'em is simply good business.
I never got why people cared so much about the alcohol % of a beer. If you are drinking for taste alone it should mean nothing to you. If you are drinking to get drunk all it means is you will have to put a few more low % beers down. Drink what you like and if you want to get wasted drink a few more (or mix in a few jagerbombs).
I think drinking beer to get drunk should take a bit of a backseat to Smirnoff Ice over the next few years (to those who have a few extra bucks). I don't think most people realize that this "chick drink" has 5% alcohol... as much as most of the run-of-the-mill beers do. And it drinks like a soda... those things have no bite at all.
To get drunk on beer, my fave is 211 Steel Reserve. No worse tasting than Bud or any of the others... but 8.2%, thats respectable.
3.2% beer? Yikes! You people really drink watered down piss down there. The lowest I'll ever stoop to is 4% Coors light.
You think Bud's beers at games have reduced alcohol % and Coors' don't? All major domestic brewed kegs sold in ballparks/arenas/stadiums are a lower alochol % than what is sold in the store. Imported beers can't be altered which is why they have the same alcohol %. Not that I care about alcohol % (see my post above) but if you want to get drunk at a game pay the extra buck for an import.
