Default Another wine for the hot weather!

I am normally not a fan of white wines but sometimes a chardonnay can be nice when the weather is hot. Check out the firestone estate chardonnay that just came in. It is only 4.99 and one of the best deals in awhile to come around. You get a nice crisp apple forward fruit and then it finishes with a nice hint of vanilla and butterscotch. It also has a touch of cloves when you first sip it. Overall a real nice chard. Enjoy it won't be around very long.

I guess I should mention it's at Trader Joe's.

Cascina Castle't 2006 Moscato d'Asti

Try a nice, chilled bottle of this on a hot day. It's made frizzante (slightly sparkling), and has a little bit of tartness on the finish to make it refreshing.

Love pairing it with some Walkers shortbread (rich from the butter, but not sweet enough to compete with the wine). It's also a tad salty, which makes the Moscato seem even better.

And, for the rose lovers -

Francis Coppola Sofia Rose

Off-dry, and a real quencher...
